CCBE Exemplary Awards Program – “Apple of Excellence”

The CCBE Awards Committee has developed criteria for recognizing outstanding programs administered by a county office of education. The programs selected are honored in two categories: programs that directly benefit students and programs that indirectly benefit students. The two awards reflect the depth and breadth of county education programs necessary to address students’ changing needs, identifying exemplary programs, and serve to share information about effective educational strategies with other county offices of education throughout the state. It also allows CCBE to express appreciation to the dedicated educators in our county offices who strive to provide high-quality education with cutting-edge innovation.

Every year, the awards committee sends an entry form to all county offices encouraging them to nominate projects and/or programs from their county for consideration. Upon the receipt and review of all entry forms, the committee announces the winners in mid-February. The awards are presented at the Annual Spring Conference in March.
