Nominating Committee

Purpose

The Nominating Committee is elected at CCBE’s general membership meeting during CSBA’s Annual Education Conference and Tradeshow in December of each year. This committee focuses on the nominations and electing the new slate of officers to serve CCBE. Over the past few years, CCBE has made great strides forward under the guidance of some dedicated leaders. It is the intent of the Nominating Committee to put forth nominees that will continue this tradition. CCBE believes that the immediate future for the education of California’s children face uncertain times. Now the challenge is to keep education at the forefront.

CCBE now accepting candidate nominations

Have you thought about serving in a leadership position? Or do you know someone that would make a great leader in CCBE? The CCBE Nominating Committee wants you to participate, either as a candidate or as a recruiter, in the nominating process for the election of the 2013 CCBE President-elect and Vice President.

Candidates shall possess strong leadership skills from within or outside of CCBE and the dedication to perform the duties of these two offices. Candidates shall also be passionate supporters and strong advocates for all California students.

A potential candidate must:

Serve on a county board that is a member of CCBE.
Receive at least one nomination for officer. Nominations may be made by either a county board that is a member of CCBE, by an individual board member whose board is a member of CCBE, or a self nomination from an individual board member whose board is a member of CCBE.

Officer nomination forms and candidacy packets must be received by CCBE by 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2012.
