Purpose

The role of the Policy Platform committee is to blend CSBA’s new policies with those of CCBE and to produce an updated policy book to give to our members and our legislators. CCBE’s policies are the guidelines for the legislative committee in deciding which legislation to support or oppose.

Committee Resources

In early April a letter will be sent to all Board Presidents and County Superintendents asking that a discussion item be placed on the agenda of each county board regarding amendments or additions to the 2007-2008 CCBE Policy Platform. One important question upon which the committee needs your input is whether we should add a new section to reflect CCBE’s positions on Federal Education issues.

All amendments or additions should be sent to Pat Hicks at patmh@pacific.net by June 7, 2008.
