CCBE Invites You to Attend an Assembly Discussion Panel on Alternative Education

The California Assembly will hold a legislative discussion panel on alternative education on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the California State Capitol. The discussion, entitled Alternative Pathways to Success: A discussion on Community and Court Schools, will focus on the challenges facing at-risk youth and the schools that serve them. The Alternative Education Task Force, appointed by the CCBE Board of Directors, has been working with Assemblywoman Nora Campos to organize the event. The two-hour discussion panel will begin at 11 a.m. in room 437 in the state Capitol. A one-hour debriefing will follow the discussion in the same room; all interested parties are welcome.  The discussion panel is open to the public and CCBE members are encouraged to attend.
