The Organization:
Raises public awareness of important public education issuesReviews and takes positions on proposed legislation that affects county boards and county offices of education
Provides governance training to county board membersCompiles and distributes sample policies for use by county boards
The CSBA/CCBE Legislative Action Conference will be May 18-19, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento, CA. Participate in:

Briefings by top state leaders
Updates on 2008-09 state budget negotiations
Presentations on current legislative issues
Special regional strategy sessions
Consultation with CSBA governmental relations staff
